Teaching Career: Instrumental Music Director at Mark Twain HS (1979-1982), Graduate Assistant at Southwest Missouri State University from 1982 - 1983, Instrumental Music Director at Chillicothe HS from 1983 - 2010
Notable Achievements and Honors: Bands under his direction earned 30 consecutive Division 1 Ratings at State Large Group Music Festival, Symphonic Band performed at the 70th annual MMEA Conference in 2008.
Service: Northwest District Secretary/Treasurer for 15 years, North Central Missouri Bandmasters Executive Secretary for 18 years, MSHSAA Advisory Board and Graded List Committee, Phi Beta Mu Lambda Chapter President, President MMEA, President MBA, Conference manager, and active in numerous church and community music events
